Thank you for visiting my weight-loss site. I am pleased that you are interested in both my own journey and what I have to offer as someone who has battled the weight-loss and weight-gain yo-yo for some years. I am not an old person, and I do not sit idle everyday, but keeping my weight to a comfortable level has been a struggle. I have felt ashamed and scared of the way I looked, and finally decided that it was time to involve others. And, that means you.
I invite you to follow my progress, cheer me on, and discover ways to assist your own weigh-loss journey by reading my reviews and helpful tips. Together, I know that we can reach our goals and be happy about how we feel and look. Plus, we will be much healthier for our efforts!
Through the course of trying many programs and products, I have been able to identify the
three most important aspects of weight control.
First, the selection of the right program is paramount to your success. Many programs, if not the vast majority of products on the market, offer false hope to participants. The concepts, along with their pills and potions, are nothing more than glitzy marketing aimed at people who have become frustrated. Promotional material and fancy commercials sell the hype and nothing more. Money and time are lost. This is how the yo-yo cycle begins.
Second, any successful weight loss system requires activity. This means that we all must exercise. We must understand right here and now that there is no magic pill that can make us lose weight if we don't stop eating bad foods and if we don't start exercising. One thing that I must say here, though, is that I do not necessarily mean an
aggressive workout strategy.
Your goals can and will be met with even a small amount of extra walking, completing thirty minutes of dance or aerobics while listening to your favorite music, or doing some leg and stomach exercises while watching television. Nothing has to be too strenuous, nor does it need to cost you money and resources. Your goal is to remain consistent at
what you choose and work the activity into your own schedule.
Third, the ultimate plateau for which you strive is keeping the weight off and maintaining a realistic weight. Ideally, the maintenance should be an easy task, but because it is a life long journey and specifically a way of life, it is in fact, very difficult to
carry out.
The statistics are grim, with as many as ninety percent of the dieters piling back all the weight they worked so hard and diligently to lose. One point that I would like to stress, however, is that we are not the failures in all of this. The programs or the products set us up to fail because they were either wrong for us or they were never meant to work in the first place. They were flimsy attempts by the makers to become famous and earn a ton of money.
Before we embark on our journey, let me explain the structure of the website, so that you can achieve the most benefit from my writings. On the left hand side, you will find a signup box for
a free book entitled “45 Ways to Burn Calories”. I encourage to download the report, read it, and choose the methods that best suit your lifestyle, then get started by taking small steps to your comfortable weight.
Additionally, you will find reviews on products that I have actually used. I will provide my insight into why the programs helped me or why they failed. Below, you will also note, that I have written a daily diary of my trek. These in-depth chronicles could become the basis for
your own weight loss journey.
Finally, I am going to offer hints, tidbits, and tips to encourage you, and make this adventure much easier than it has been in the past. There is no need to make your life miserable, and together, we can find the best solution for you.
