The “my fitness pal app” for the iPhone is one of the best apps for tracking the progress of your diet. The main benefit of this is not only is it free but also that it has a massive database to pull information. This allows you to use the devices camera to scan the barcode of a food package and pull up the nutritional information about it, including the serving sizes. This allows you to enter the item into your food journal very quickly. That was the hardest thing for me to do until I found this app. I had a hard problem calculating and tracking my calorie intake until I started using this app. Once I started using it, tracking all the different meals was no big deal at all. If you need to track the foods that you are eating for your diet, you cannot live without this app.
