In my previous post, you saw the results of week 7. The end of Week 8 has come on the diet and I am still making nice progress. People are really starting to notice that I am losing weight. My clothes are starting to be loose on me. My belt is down to its last belt hole and even with that, my pants are still loose. My wedding ring now has the tendency to fall off when my hands are wet or when I wash them. Therefore, I have to pay extra attention not to lose it. I have stepped up the cardio exercises and I am now at the point where I am burning 300 calories in 20 minutes on the treadmill.
I did the same thing with the food this week as I have with the previous weeks. I keep close count on what I am tracking what I am eating with my fitness pal app and it helps make sure that I am still on track daily.
The daily calories:
I stuck with the 200, 100, 200, 100, and 200-calorie counts with a daily average of 800 calories and 1000 calories on the days I worked out. I had an extra 200 calories on the days I worked out in order to offset the calories I burned. This was in the form of lean protein, most of the time chicken breasts or something else that is lean protein. I have purchase some whey protein to help with replacing calories after working out.
This was 7 days of the phase 2 diet with veggies w/ non-fat salad dressing. Weight lost for the week 3.3 pounds
- Heart Rate: 99 beats per minute
- Blood pressure: 112/70
- Weight: 266.4
- Body Mass Index: 36.13
The results to date:
So far, I have lost a total of 42.4 pounds in eight weeks on the diet. Wow, 40 pounds gone just like that, it is a good feeling when you go to check in and see the results. People are really starting to notice that I am losing weight and they are asking how I am doing it so quickly. That is a huge motivation booster for me, I can tell that I am losing weight but I did not think it was that noticeable. Let us see how I do in week 9.
